A Conference Centre of high standards with 70 years of experience in hosting Conferences and Events.
The Eugenides Foundation’s technologically advanced Conference Centre is part of a landmark building for the area of Paleo Faliro, on Syggrou Avenue, just a few minutes from the centre of Athens. Every year it hosts more than 100 international and national conferences, making its Conference Centre a reference point and attracting important personalities of the Greek and international scientific, technical, and cultural community.
The Foundation’s Conference Centre has modern facilities for the organization of conferences and events, with a total of five halls that can accommodate from 20 to 520 people as well as comfortable exhibition foyers. Finally, one of the largest and best equipped Planetariums in the World and a Science and Technology Centre promise your delegates a unique journey into science and space.
AUDITORIUM
With a capacity of 420 people, modern audio-visual equipment and experienced specialized technical support staff, it is the ideal venue for conferences, presentations and official events. Continuing the technical upgrade of the Auditorium, the Eugenides Foundation installed a 13m2 high definition Ledwall screen, which offers the visitor an innovative visual experience. The auditorium extends over two levels: the main seating area located on the first floor and the gallery on the second. There are also three interpretation booths. If so required, the auditorium may be linked by a two-way image and sound communication system with the adjoining lecture hall, thus increasing the conference capacity to 540 people. Outside the auditorium, on the first and second floors there are two (2) halls that can be used for parallel conference activities, as well as three (3) further spaces that are suitable for exhibitions and catering.
CONFERENCE HALL
The Conference Hall covers a total area of 120 m2 with natural light, full audio-visual equipment with a new modern Led wall. Its space is perfect for professional and scientific meetings, held either autonomously or in conjunction with the amphitheatre, since it is equipped with a two-way image and sound communication system linking the two spaces. The hall can be configured in a variety of ways to meet the needs of each type of event. It has a maximum capacity of 120 people in ‘amphitheatre’ configuration, featuring a podium and a panel seating up to 4 people.
MEETING ROOM
The meeting room is an autonomous square-shaped room located on the 1st floor of the Eugenides Foundation’s premises, with a capacity for 40 people.
MAIN ENTRANCE HALL
The impressive main entrance area of the Eugenides Foundation building complex towards Syggrou Avenue is an integral part of the initial building designed by the famous architect Andreas Kriezis. Since 2009 the main entrance has also been adorned with the sculpture Genesis, created by Costas Varotsos. The main entrance on Syggrou Avenue is used to welcome conference participants. A specially designed secretariat area and adjacent auxiliary areas (cloakroom, storage, etc.) contribute to the efficient and consummate execution of each event.
1st-FLOOR PERISTYLE
An aesthetically pleasing space, the 1st-floor peristyle covers an area of 260 m² and is part of the old Eugenides Foundation Planetarium. This space is able to operate autonomously, hosting individual events or used complementarily as an exhibition area or for other side events during a conference. The space is also fitted with a microphone system.
2nd- FLOOR PERISTYLE
The 2nd-floor peristyle is a high-aesthetics space that can ideally host corporate or social events (meetings, presentations, exhibitions, etc.) connected to conferences organized within the Eugenides Foundation. The dome of the old Eugenides Foundation Planetarium is an impressive architectural element that dominates the space and gives the 2nd-floor peristyle its special character. The special illumination of the dome using optic fibres creates an enchanting sense of a starry night sky. The 2nd-floor peristyle can accommodate 350 people in a seated arrangement and up to 400 people for cocktails.
CEREMONIES AND RECEPTIONS ROOM
The Eugenides Foundation hall for formal ceremonies and receptions has a rectangular shape of high aesthetics and is the most characteristic example of the initial building’s architecture. Covering a total area of 133 m², it can accommodate up to 100 people for a seated meal and 150 people for cocktail parties.
